60 Piece U-Nut Assortment Starter Kit
60 U-nuts in a 12-hole labeled plastic drawer — a mixed assortment of spring steel panel clip fasteners pre-sorted by size and ready to use. U-nuts snap onto panel flanges and provide a threaded attachment point without requiring access to the back of the panel, making them a shop staple for interior trim, underhood covers, and body panel work.

Best For
- Auto body and trim shops — U-nuts are consumed during every panel removal; having a sorted assortment means techs can replace broken clips on the spot rather than sourcing individual sizes
- Fleet maintenance shops — interior panels, underhood covers, and body trim on domestic and import vehicles all use U-nuts; keeping an assortment stocked eliminates parts delays
- Dealership service technicians — panel pull-and-reinstall jobs for electrical, audio, or HVAC work frequently break the existing U-nuts; this kit covers the replacement sizes most often needed
- Small shops and independents — the 12-hole drawer keeps everything organized on a shelf or toolbox without the bulk of a larger assortment
Understanding U-Nuts
U-nuts (also called speed nuts, spring nuts, or clip nuts) are single-piece spring steel fasteners that clip onto the edge of a panel flange. Once snapped in place, they accept a machine screw driven into the center channel, which spreads the clip and locks the fastener to the panel — no nut on the back side required.
They're used throughout vehicle interiors (door panels, headliners, dash trim), under the hood (engine covers, air duct brackets), and on exterior body trim wherever access to the reverse side of a panel is limited or impossible.
When replacing a U-nut, match the screw thread size and confirm the panel flange thickness falls within the clip's engagement range — too thin and the clip won't grip, too thick and it won't snap on. Need help identifying a size? Contact us.
