The 130° point angle (AG grind) is optimized for large-diameter drilling, providing a strong chisel edge that centers the bit and starts cleanly without walking on entry. Three flats on the shank lock the bit in a keyed or keyless chuck and prevent slippage under the torque load that large-diameter drilling generates.
