12-Hole Fastener Learning Assortment
15 distinct fasteners in a 12-hole labeled drawer — an educational assortment built to teach students the visual and functional differences between coarse and fine threads, drive types, head styles, finishes, diameters, lengths, and strength grades. Each of the 15 fasteners is different from the next, giving students a physical reference set to examine, compare, and identify. An answer key is included for instructor use.
What's Included
- 15 different fasteners — each one unique, covering a range of thread pitches, drive styles, head types, finishes, diameters, lengths, and strength grades
- Teaches: coarse vs. fine thread, drive differences (Phillips, hex, slotted), head types (hex, pan, flat, button), finishes (zinc, black oxide, stainless), and strength grades
- Instructor answer key — can be removed from the kit at any time to create an identification challenge
- 12-hole labeled drawer — each fastener in its own compartment

Best For
- Vocational and trade school programs — students learning automotive, manufacturing, HVAC, plumbing, or general construction need hands-on exposure to fastener types before they work with them in the field
- Apprenticeship programs — new hires who haven't worked extensively with fasteners benefit from a structured introduction before working alongside experienced techs
- In-shop training — shops onboarding new employees can use this kit as a first-day orientation tool for fastener identification
In the Classroom
The kit is structured for two modes of use:
- Guided instruction — instructor presents each fastener with the answer key visible, walking students through how to identify thread pitch by feel and sight, recognize head and drive types by profile, and distinguish grades by markings and finish
- Identification challenge — instructor removes the answer key. Students examine each fastener and record their identification for each attribute. The answer key is reintroduced for self-correction.
The 12-hole drawer keeps the 15 fasteners organized and separated during class handling — each returns to its labeled compartment after the exercise. Questions about bulk pricing for multiple kits? Contact us.
