About Class 8.8
Class 8.8 is the standard metric fastener grade for most general-purpose automotive and industrial applications. At 800 MPa minimum tensile strength, it covers the vast majority of metric fastener needs in vehicle repair and machine shop environments.
The zinc plating provides corrosion resistance for indoor shop environments and most under-hood applications. For outdoor or marine environments with heavy moisture exposure, consider our stainless steel assortments.
The M10x1.25 fine pitch is included intentionally — imported vehicles and certain industrial equipment use this pitch where most suppliers only stock M10x1.5. It's a small detail that prevents a parts run at the worst possible time.
